MPA/OlloClip Contest

The winner of the MPA/Olloclip contest by unanimous vote is…DAREDEVIL by Melissa Vincent – Congrats Melissa you are the proud new owner of an olloclip!!!

The Winner – Daredevil by Melissa Vincent

The jury feels strongly that DAREDEVIL is a wonderful example of a good idea well-executed. The image is whimsical, full of freedom, and technically excellent. The picture certainly adheres to the contest theme and tells a story about a machine that “goes” but it cuts even deeper in our view. DAREDEVIL embodies the inevitability that children also must one day seek their own way, that indeed, children too become THINGS THAT GO and we will wave goodbye as they metaphorically run from the cover of our wings. We cheer them on their way even as we wish they would just stay little forever…Well done Melissa and well deserved.

Thank you to everybody who submitted! The shortlist below comprises the final ten images for the MPA/OLLOCLIP Contest:

President Policia by Dixon Hamby

Caged Beauty Collecting Dust by Aleh Dabrynski

Coaster by Scott Williams

Tricking Out by Jamari Rushdi

Panning by AlAli Altaf

Low Tide by Jessica Adams

By the Numbers by Max Berkowitz

Easy Rider by Cindy Patrick

The Other Side of the Mirror by Abaseen Afghan

A very big special thanks to our guest judges Dutch Doscher and Dirk Dallas. The jury had no access to the names of the photographers who submitted. The images were narrowed to a top 30, then down to 12, then 10 and finally…a winner. Great job guys!
