Paul Moore: an iPhoto Essay from Ireland
The Mobile Photo Awards is pleased to present the Mobile Photography of Paul Moore. We have always been struck by the beauty of his landscapes from his native Ireland, specifically from the Lough Boora Parklands near his home. Please enjoy his marvellous, soulful images.
“Everyone needs a place they can go to escape the madness of the modern world. For me, that place is Lough Boora Parklands in the midlands of Ireland. It is only 25 mins from my home but feels like a world away. Up until recently, it was a working bog with trains criss-crossing the landscape carrying the turf to its final destination. There is evidence of this activity with tracks and old trains still littered about the landscape. The bog has been allowed to return to its natural state and has been enhanced with the addition of 3 artificial lakes and a number of sculptures dotted around the place. It is also a wildlife reserve and is surrounded by farmland. It is a wonderfully peaceful place that changes with the seasons. It is a great place to just chill out. Have a look.” – Paul Moore
