Recap of MPA Gallery Openings
The Mobile Photo Awards brought our inaugural exhibit to two exceptional galleries in California last week.
We opened at San Francisco’s ArtHaus on April 5th with a 60 image exhibit which runs until June 30th. We also premiered at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Ana on April 7th for a 3 week run through April 28th. Both openings were a smashing success – hundreds and hundreds of people constantly taken aback at the quality and depth of the work on display. With images ranging in size from 12×12 to 18×24 the work was presented to the public framed and enlarged the way photographs truly should be seen. Tactile, physical, big! What a world of difference to see these images on paper instead of electronically. Big thanks to our partners FotoMoto and CanvasPOP for the bang-up job on the prints and canvasses.
Throughout this week we will continue to post about the exhibits, the openings, reactions from the public, and images from the events. For now, we leave you with these pictures and a video of images from ArtHaus created by Max Berkowitz. Thanks Max!
